Your sun sign, and so much more

Updated: May 5, 2019

The ancients tracked the movements of the major bodies they could see in the sky. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Stronger telescopes were responsible for the later addition of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

Everyone has these planets in their chart. But where they are placed in the horoscope, and how they interact with each other is entirely unique based on where and when you were born.

When I first learned there was more than sun signs, I was horrified that people (including me) thought sun signs was it. A fun interlude with one planetary placement, one singular piece of a whole puzzle. Seriously?!

I went through a period of telling everyone that would listen that there was sssooooo much more!!! That sun signs are only 1/10th of the main story (1 of 10 planets).

Western Astrology has been around since 350 BC, Vedic (Indian) Astrology from even earlier at 3000BC. Sun signs, has been around for less than a 100 years. Um ok.

But ….

SUN SIGNS NUDGE OPEN THE DOORWAY TO WONDER. It’s a gift that has kept Astrology alive. What’s more, Astrology covers the macrocosm of the universe, down to the microcosm of one planetary placement. It fits it all, the complex and the simple. Now that IS magic.
