Current Sky messages
We’re heading for the December solstice, the peak of winter in the Northern hemisphere, and Summer in the south. Oh, and mayhem, Christmas, and the wind down of years end.
Fever pitch
On the 13th December excitement levels are raised to fever pitch in the lead up to Christmas. As the temperature rises, logic leaves out the back door. Enjoy the frivolity, but do be conscious of impulsive actions!
You may need to ease back from people pleasing, and set some boundaries that allow you to do what you enjoy. This goes against society’s do it all, all the time, but that’s ok. By being true to yourself, you grow richer and more sustainable connections in the world that support your goals.
This same pattern last occurred in December 2013 to January 2014. Do you remember what heart re-alignments you made then? A similar theme may play out now.
Look out for clues on what you need to revisit, review, and re-align on 12th and 26th December. These are peak “in your face” days, though these vibes will be around until the end of January.
Don’t be unnerved if everyone is a little withdrawn and introspective, we’re all inwardly contemplating these themes.

Nature's Soul Guide
Back to Astro Basics
As mentioned previously, this month is about back to Astro basics.
If you want to know what Astrology is, what a Sun sign is, and what it can do for you,
Go here.
If you want to skip ahead to the good stuff, continue :-).
Sun signs and souls
If you look up your sun sign, you’ll find key character descriptions. What is not always made clear, is that each of those characteristics is on a spectrum. It runs from the brightest and bestest expression of the thing, to the grungiest shadow side.
For example, you need absolute faith and bravery to run into a battlefield (be that kiddie Scrabble, the Olympics or a mine field). That same passion can overflow when you’re made to sit still in a classroom, leading to disruptive behaviour and mislabeled naughtiness. If you’re in a 2x2 cubicle, it could also manifest as utter frustration at work.
The fire can burn bright and lead the way, or it overflow in mishaps and emotive explosions.
Sun signs & natural elements
Nature is composed of 4 elements, Fire, Earth, Air, and Water (in the classical Greek model).
These 4 elements are assigned to the 12 Sun signs.
Your sun sign represents your core identity. Your sun sign
element
shows HOW you express it to fulfil your highest potential. It represents your natural, instinctive ways of approaching life.
Here's the cheat sheet
Find your sun sign in this list, and remember the key word.
FIRE – ACTION
EARTH – STABILITY
AIR – MIND
WATER- EMOTIONS
When you are lost, use that key word to guide you back to your core self. For example:
- FIRE signs - take some action, do something.
- EARTH signs - support your need for stability
- AIR signs - expand your intellect for inspiration
- WATER signs - tune into your emotions for insight
My Sun sign element is air. I was recently reminded just how inspiring I find books, and have blitzed through a few in the last few weeks!
It took me a while to remember how much I enjoyed reading. My 'right direction' appears when I am inspired, and I find that through reading (anything and everything, weird and wonderful, short, long, ancient and new). By being true to me, I hope to add more light to the world. In whatever way that ends up happening.
Hope that helps you find your inspiration and shine brighter too!
