Wild rides

Hold on to your seat’s peeps, it’s about to get wild! Well, at least in one area of your life :-).

Imagine for a moment that you are in a white-water raft (with a bunch of people that know what they’re doing, so please don’t panic). No-one can predict the exact water levels, stuck branches, exposed rocks, deep channels and length of distance you’ll fly over a wave. 

You know where you are and what you’re doing, but HOW you are going to do it is going to be a complete surprise! In fact, you may even enjoy it!

You may bounce over rocks, swash through the froth, hit quiet, peaceful canyons - then leap over a waterfall! About turns, ups and downs, diving down and bouncing up are all part of it.

Such is the nature of Uranus - surprise is the only known factor. And this live wire planet is going direct – which means full steam ahead thunderbolts and revelations! Generally, it will be around wealth, security and finances for the population. But in your own chart it will manifest wherever Taurus is placed.

Themes could involve new food inventions (plant-based protein), digital currencies, a new way of investing … its all about the earth, and tangible material security. Taurus involves the senses, so investigating how you find fulfilment is very much under the microscope. 

Do you feel secure if you own a gold bar, a property, or have lots of $$$ in the bank?

Do you feel earthed if you can get out in the garden, or contribute to saving our planet? 

Whatever puts the “ful” in your fulfilment is getting a shake-up! Its going to be moving and adjusting and surprising you to make you take notice.

Internal thrills

Before you cringe your toes in horror, please don’t worry if you hate water rides – these thrills and spills could just as easily be internal. You may get a wild idea that changes your trajectory to be more authentic. You may get inspired to explore something and be galvanised into a new direction. Something is going to shift for you, and its happening “for you”, not to you. 

The sole purpose is to show you another way, and its exciting! It leads you to a more fulfilled and authentic you. The action or idea may seem shocking at first, and you may have to take a big gulp as you contemplate this bolt from the blue mad hatter idea … but its bound to shake rattle and roll your life into a more fabulous expression of you!

Thoughts, insights, opportunities, changes are going to be rocking your world like a wild white water rafting experience. Your floating boat may only be in your imagination, but there are some highs and lows and life inspiring decisions coming!

Making the hopes come true

If there’s an insight that strikes your fancy, from 20 January you’ll be helped to find ways to make it happen. Your solution is probably going to be unconventional, but totally workable! 

Customise your “next steps” in a way that suits you. This could be writing, drawing or typing all your ideas. Chat to someone you trust about them. Meditate, make a video, walk in the wind, write in runes, set out the tarot cards - basically just brainstorming any way that makes you happy. 

Add a factor of yellow (paper, crayon, t-shirt, paper), light incense or a candle to amp up the air (intellectual) energy. You can even just draw or trace Mercury and just tap into its vibes without thinking anything specific – see what pops up!

Aquarius season

Start celebrating Aquarian babies!  On the 20 January 2022 the sun moves into the sign of Aquarius, marking the celebrations of the "inventive-change-the-world" vibes. 

Aquarians feel this energy very strongly as it is their core identity.  But the rest of us have access to it too!  Look out for ways in which you can change the world.  Innovation, technology and inventions for the greater good are extra-energised for the next month! 

Aquarian folks - you may feel different - but that is because your unique outlook on life is what is changing the world!  Celebrate your wonder, we all thank you for it! Longer cycles

The Taurus - Scorpio nodal axis change was kicked off with a lunar eclipse on 19 November 2021, and will be around until October 2023. 19 January 2022 the nodes move into Taurus and Scorpio, finalizing this cycle.

Stability and dependability (Taurus), 

are at cross purposes 

with our passions (Scorpio). 

We are being asked to transform, not one day - now.

Finding your calm

I’ve realised today that perhaps I haven’t actually acknowledged the actual shit shifts in the last 2/3 months. I’ve alluded to messiness, but focused my tips on being kind to yourself, not the tumultuous self-questioning dramas behind them that require that self-care to be boosted.

What helps most of my clients is the confirmation that they’re not nuts, and that there really is a particularly hairy part of their life they are navigating – usually in the perfect way! It helps to have someone affirm they are going in the right direction (for them), and doing the right things (for them).

Humans tend to get mired in the shit that is shifting, not the way out.  To find calm, we need to acknowledge the tunnel, and the light at the end of it.

This means that from the broadest global archetype of “why”, to the deeply personal questioning during the dark night of the soul … everyone is unsure, grieving the past ways, and doesn't know what their new way is (yet).

That’s completely normal. Nobody knows the future ways of doing things, and they certainly don’t know YOUR future way. There are guidelines, and cycles, and energies. But you still don’t really know, not 100%, as it shifts all the time.

Nobody is absolutely 100% certain of their why, all the time, for all their lives.  That is how we grow, we explore various why's.

In December 2020 we started a 200 year cycle.  Now in 2022, we are only entering year 2 of that. That’s what we know for sure - we change, shift and adjust as we grow and explore and expand.

Truth

Trying to identify your true desires and values have been present in your consciousness since December.

[Venus Retrograde in Capricorn]

The thoughts of “what must I do” may have caused you to feel like you needed to take drastic action, but what was really required was drastic intention. Facing, feeling – and knowing of your truth.

There’s another week of digging up all the dirt you need to understand, acknowledge, and release to move forward into a new stronger, better, you. 

By the end of the month you’ll have the diamond tipped certainty of what beliefs need to die for you to transform yourself and your relationships to others, and the world. Going into February you’ll get some zoot back in your zen, and start working on making those plans happen. 

February and March you’ll strategise and arrange, and organise, and find creative ways to make your life more truthful for you. Come April the caterpillar will become a butterfly, and the angsty pain and struggle through the pupa will give you the wings you need to fly.

I think I’ll end there on this musing – “wings to fly”. If you remember nothing else, just focus on that mantra thought through the hard stuff- it is giving you wings!
