Have you been feeling deep and stormy? Unsettled? Insomnia? Frustration?

The two personal planets Venus and Mars are currently in a bit of a yin-yang configuration.  It kind of messes with your head.

Love in a dark place

At its simplest, the planet Venus represent the Goddess of love.  The Goddess is currently in the Mars ruled sign of Scorpio - a deep, dark and mysterious place.  This environment is causing us to go deeper than roses and chocolates ...  to the depths of our soul, our inner truth, and our darkest desires.  The messy reality of life underneath the surface, the not always pretty - truth.

Like it or not those questions are arising out of the depths of our consciousness - what do you value above all else, what truly means something to you, and how do you go about getting it?

Venus also represents connections, relationships and interactions with others. Being in such a stark sign it will be difficult to engage in meaningless pleasant small talk to others. There's no time or space for fluff.  Be aware of that, and be careful of sharp words to lovers, or short words to clients. 

Use this energy to take a deep dive to your shadow side, your unconscious, the dark desires that swirl beneath the surface. Recognise them, and honour them - its the only way through.

Desire in a light place

Scorpio Mars, the spirit warrior, is currently in the Venus ruled sign of Libra - a harmonious, light and pleasant place. 

Think of outdoorsy and active children primped for a formal wedding.  The collars are scratchy, the shoes slow them down, and that slicked down hair is just irritating!  The adult version is a rough and tough, action hero, survival-type person being made to sit still at what feels like a 50-million course and long-winded dinner, with no 'real' food ... perhaps at the same formal wedding ;-).

The current environment demands your best behavior and social niceties, beautiful balance, hushed voices and softly glowing (not too harsh) perfection.  But all you want to do is run, and jump, and save something, or battle something, or achieve something. You want meaning, and action, and short sharp -pure truth.

Be aware that your fuse may be short, and you could have less patience than usual.  Watch those cutting words, impulsive actions and bombastic behavior that could get you into trouble! This may manifest around loved ones and society at large. 

This too can be handled, by pouring all that driven desire into a meaningful and honorable place.  Fight for the values you believe in, put your energy into championing causes that inspire you!  Make more time for physical actions and emotional outlets.  Easy fixes are whatever your thing is, go for an extra run, weed the garden, create art, manifest a glorious meal, do that journal writing you never get to.  If the activity inspires passion or relaxation - make time for it!
